TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

Our reality...

Mid October is when we got out of Puerto La Cruz going to Trinidad. But before we went to La Blanquilha, 90 miles north, doing tourism. Wind was perfect and two AM, we dropped the anchor. That dream helm wind, bought days before I left, the three men worked and thought is now in paradise. Pandora, for other reasons, too. Morning with her barking for water, for the wind , for everything. Must have liked what she saw. But the Island surprised us by the low height and dry.

We really enjoy the six days in the most deserved break but the such spoken lobsters was not catched, so we had changed one by two portfolios of cigarette with fishermen. Promise made to the crew and met. The way to "take them"  was not part of the script ...

17 yachts in the harbor showing us how the ordinary was that life. Some acquaintances of Venezuela, also began to rise. The geographical location of La Blanquilha provides good sailing for those who want to go direct to Martinique and some have already labeled the charter, with a date to meet.

Margherita to settle down to two questions: pick fruits, vegetables and buy an outboard motor.

Good winds, now in port until the west side of the island when everything stopped and we had to use our engineen for 10 hours. Noon, we anchored and we descovered that anchoring was very good! The wind and the boat is always enter fresh, airy, so different from being in a marina ... Sure you lose the comfort of abundant water, for example, we will be rationed but we have experience, that first step, and that the priorities that matter. And not having a sadness with the heat, was the priority.

Yamaha, brand new, 5 horses and 5 people able to give his life for him! Enough of the torture of oars. And oh, conquered my freedom to go and come: learned to use our Dingue.

Even in our first Margherita pay for water supply (80 liters entered) and realized that we were well controlled even with her. Had spent 11 days in this volume between cooking and drinking. You can imagine that our baths were so then the salt. And usually it was. Debora and I had to use the stewardship of two cups for rinsing with fresh water, eventually the hair.

Now to Los witnesses. Time for fish to gaff, eat two fish and lost the gig. Completion of the simplest: no harpoon up to make money to buy another. Independent addition, the beautiful place. Surprised us, in favor.

Trinidad went to motor the entire journey. Total absence of wind which was good because, if any, would be against the trend. Objective: To get the Luiza of water, paint the bottom, check the rudder.

... Since Abrolhos ( Brazil) when Fernando and Guilherme  "met" one coral has 20 miles offshore , abstractedly, and then around Maceio ( Brazil), on some reefs, the emergency situation was there... Although they tried repair with a friend`s help  in Fortaleza ( Brazil )  now really must be fixed.
